In my understanding, I thought religon and philisophy says that the human soul is the one part of you that's not superficial and is immortal. I read that the soul is unchanging but the spirit of humans can change many times during their lifetime. In my understanding, I thought religon and philisophy says that the human soul is the one part of you that's not superficial and is immortal. You wrote that a soul and spirit are not connected, I don't understand really, in a religous sense isn't the soul of a human their very core and their spirit something they develop over time in life? I read that the soul is unchanging but the spirit of humans can change many times during their lifetime. I can understand in a scientific sense that the soul is the metaphoric essence of a human and essentially not immortal, but in a religous sense I would think it's your very core of self.
